Our Summer

Here's a re-cap of our summer. We've had a great time watching Zach grow, went on vacation and started school this last week.

The kids wanting to lay like Zach.

Kisses for baby Zachary.

Kisses for sister.

We took this right before Ricky's 4th birthday party! He was really excited!

This is the second year that he wanted his Cars cake.

We all sang Happy Birthday really quietly and that didin't make him cry this year. Last year it was horrible having him cry during his own party! This year he was much happier.

Zach chilling on the couch about 6 weeks old.

Pappy our fearless dog wants a picture too!

My friend Tashina came home from the Navy and we took her out with some friends from work. We miss you Tashina!!!

Zach hanging out with me while I eat dinner before going to work. He's 7 weeks old.

All three kids wanting to lay like Zach and get their picture taken together.

More pictures of Zach!

In July we went to New York with Rick's parents and met up with Jen's biological dad, his wife, and Jen's half sister. (Tom, Sally, and Kim) We flew into Buffalo, then went to Canada to see Niagra Falls. This trip was mainly for Rick's parents because they haven't been to the Falls, and Rick's mom had never been to New York City before. Our family just kinda tagged along since Jen has family there. (If you can 'just' tag along with a family of 5. :) )

Aunt Kim helping Ricky go down a steep hill.

Our family at the Falls.

Zach was pooped. (Not sure why, I was the one carrying him most of the day!)

Here we are getting ready to ride the Maid of the Mist. The kids were really excited!!!

And even after, they were all smiles.

Here's our group shot, we are getting soaked hown here. And yes Zach is still with me and he can breathe. I was very careful to be sure that he had fresh air the whole time!

The beautiful double rainbow we had that day!

After the Falls we drove down to Tom and Sally's house in Elmira. It was a long drive after a long day in the sun!!
Zach is all smiles though!

We went to Corning glass and watched a few shows on how they make different things by blowing glass. It is totally amazing as to what they can do!!!

While we were there Cynthia turned 3 so we had a birthday party for her. This is Tom and his mom, Grandma EJ.

Here is my step brother Jason and his wife Christy. This is the first time they have met their niece and nephews.

Aunt Kimmy with the birthday girl.
This is the group shot at the birthday party. Tom has 3 sisters, but only two of them were there this time.

Now it's Ricky's turn to have the princess hat on! (Rick wasn't too happy about this one, I think it's hilarious!)

Then Ricky got ahold of the camera and started taking a bunch of pictures of people. Most were blurry but a few turned out ok.

We then went to Cooperstown. This museum was amazing. So much history in one place. And the place changes daily as stats change. So much to see and so much to read, you could spend a week there.

The original copy of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" It was actually written for the women's baseball league.

Roberto Clemente's Display.

Arizona Diamondbacks locker.

I got a kiss from the Fanatic!

Back in Elmira, Cynthia got to play while Ricky went to New York City.

There were small bass in the pond at Tom's house so we went fishing.

They went swimming in the pool.

My goal was to take pictures for Ricky and Cynthia for their 3 and 4 year pictures. Unfortuantely Cynthia was sleeping but I did get Ricky and Zach.

Here's Ricky's new smile for pictures!!!

This one is my favorite!

Now it's time for Zach's pictures.

I love this one!! Bubbles and all!

Back home we have silly time with Zach and Ricky.

And silly time with Cynthia and Zach.

This is the first day of school. I told Cynthia to hold up three fingers so we knew how old she was. This is what I got. :)

Ricky is ready for school too!

Here's the first day. We signed them in and let them play in the playground. They stayed close by eachother. Unfortunately for them, they are in separate classes. Cynthia didn't know this at first and when it was time to go in, she was lining up with Ricky's class. They finally got her were she needed to go and all was well.

I took this on Friday, the last day of the first full week. She was excited to go to school everyday. Ricky on the other hand, had a hard time 2 of the 4 days. We are hoping that next week will be a little better.

I haven't taken pictures of Ricky writing yet. He has been able to do this for a while now. But here's proof that he can write and spell words. We did not help him with any of this. Well I did get the paper out for him. :)

Don't bother me, I'm writing my name!

Here's Zach's 4 month pictures. It was hard to get any clear ones. He's moving so much now that his head was blurry in so many of them. But I've discovered if you take enough that you're destined to get at least a few good ones.

So that was our summer. Watching Zach pack on the weight, having 2 kids birthdays, going to New York, and Canada, and starting school. (We also had 2 adult birthdays too but who takes pictures of those when the kids are around??)
