Ricky's 3rd Birthday

Ricky had a Cars birthday this year. We had a great time with family and friends. Ricky did not want the spotlight on him, he didn't want us to sing happy birthday to him, and he didn't really want to hit the pinata. But we made it through and had a great time. The in ground bar-b-que pit went really well also. Rick can't wait for Cynthia's birthday so that we can do it again!!! Here are a few pictures from the day.

Ricky is sharing his fishing truck with Cynthia, he got two identical trusck for his birthday and instead of returning one and getting something different we decided to keep one and this is what we get to enjoy now!! Cynthia loves playing with her big brother!!

My crazy wonderful life.

As I sit here in peace and quite today I am able to reflect on the past 6 months of my life. I have to tell you all just how much God has been doing in my life. It all started when I knew that I wanted to further my career and take the next step and become a Surgical First Assistant. I knew that scrubbing for a hospital was never the ending point but I didn't know when I should take that next step. Then I talked to a friend of mine Deb a few different times and she really helped me to think about things and know that it's ok to have fear but that God is in control and He will be there for me every step of the way. After talking to her I was able to get past the idea that I wasn't good enough and that I wasn't smart enough. I realized that I don't have to know how to first assist before starting the program, they will teach me. I don't have to know all of the anatomy in detail, that will come with time and experience. I don't have to worry about what other people may think of me, it only matters what God thinks of me. (He thinks I'm great!!) So the next step was to get registered in school and this was a whole new dilemma because I didn't have the money to pay for school. So I searched trying to find student loans. Unfortunately I couldn't find help there either. So it was laid on my heart to ask my parents. I was extremely nervous about this, but I asked anyway. Sure enough I shared my heart with them and after they discussed things over I was able to get the help that I needed from them. So my journey started.

Jump ahead a few months and now the Holy Spirit is making my burden heavy and things are weighing heavy on my heart. I'm frustrated to the point of wanting to move and just get away from things because that will make it all better. Yeah Right! Instead I took the time to write down my feelings and found advice. The result has been a new beginning and lots of forgiveness. The details of this aren't important, the people involved know who they are and what the situation is. The results though are astounding! I feel so much lighter in my step and feel like I'm on top of the world again.

No things aren't perfect in my life but they are definitely heading upward. I have a clean slate to start anew and it is all thanks to my Lord and my God, who guided me, and carried me down a path that I could not have walked on my own.

Thank you Father!!!
